Here is our list of our top 5 items to look out for that can cause your rental to fail a section 8 property inspection and potentially fall into abatement.
- Cracked tiles. This is one of the most common issues with some landlords being forced to go as far as replacing the entire floor to meet the section 8 requirements. One way to alleviate this is to go through prior to the inspection and using a MagicEZY Tile repair kit. - Bifold door hardware. This is another very simple item that if updated prior to renting can save the hassle of broken doors, door tracs, and other deficiencies moving forward.
